Welcome

Thanks for visiting my blog. I began journaling about my daily life when I was eleven. Over the years, this has grown to become a way for me to share my thoughts rather than my daily life. I’m pretty open with sharing all the beautiful chaos of life with six children. I have to remind myself to extend grace to myself each and every day! It is my hope that my writings will help others to learn to extend grace to themselves too. After all, if it weren’t for the Grace of God, life would just be messy. I’m so glad that life can instead be a Beautiful Mess and is covered by His Beautiful Grace.

My Field Full of Dreams

My Field of Dreams
By, Audrey McCormick

Somewhere there’s a hill.  There’s a hill on a farm, overlooking my field of dreams.  There’s a cow on that farm that gives us our milk.  There’s a yard full of chickens that give us our eggs.  There’s a patch full of berries that I can’t wait to pick.  There’s a garden full of vegetables that will soon feed our family.

Somewhere there’s a farm.  There’s a farm with a house, overlooking my field of dreams.  There’s a kitchen in that house with a big farm sink.  There are vegetables on the counter waiting to be canned.  There’s a woman in an apron singing old hymns.  There’s a man looking in with a heart full of love.

Somewhere there’s a house.  There’s a house with a porch, overlooking my field of dreams.  There are kids on that porch that make me smile each day.  There’s a fan that invites me to take a load off.  There are two rocking chairs looking out as the sun sets.  There’s a couple holding hands as they bow their heads to pray.  There’s a tear in my eye as I thank God for this beautiful life.

Somewhere there’s a woman.  There’s a woman, overlooking her field full of dreams.
