Welcome

Thanks for visiting my blog. I began journaling about my daily life when I was eleven. Over the years, this has grown to become a way for me to share my thoughts rather than my daily life. I’m pretty open with sharing all the beautiful chaos of life with six children. I have to remind myself to extend grace to myself each and every day! It is my hope that my writings will help others to learn to extend grace to themselves too. After all, if it weren’t for the Grace of God, life would just be messy. I’m so glad that life can instead be a Beautiful Mess and is covered by His Beautiful Grace.

Project Paper: Day 3

Okay, so I've now realized that I had two of the Animal Cookies paper packs.  I've got two more zoo layouts using this pack today and then on tomorrow I will have the last of the Animal Cookies projects.  This set is so cute that I could create a million things with it and never get tired of it though.  One great thing about this pack is that it will be on the clearance sale on my website starting tomorrow morning at 10:am.  The MyStickease will be $2, the Level 1 paper pack will be $4 and the Level 2 paper pack will be $6.

Each of these two layouts were created using patterns from Reflections.  Rather than using the stamps to create the animal parade on the first layout, I actually cute the animals from one of the B&T papers in the Level 2 paper pack.  I used only buttons as embellishments in an effort to create the two pages quickly.  These pages will be back to back in Elijah's album so I only journaled on the first layout but used the stamped number 1 as an accent on the second layout.  I love how the photos of animals fill the role of both photo and accent.

This particular trip to the zoo in Alexandria was to celebrate our first son David's 2nd birthday.  It was also Elijah's first trip to the zoo.  Each of these layouts will go into Elijah's album but I continue to add layouts to David's album as a way celebrate his memory.  Check back tomorrow for his 2nd birthday layout and a collection of birthday cards using the Animal Cookies papers.  What isn't used for those projects will be given to the girls tomorrow at the crop so on Thursday I will be moving on to another paper pack.  Hmmm... which pack should I choose next?
