Welcome

Thanks for visiting my blog. I began journaling about my daily life when I was eleven. Over the years, this has grown to become a way for me to share my thoughts rather than my daily life. I’m pretty open with sharing all the beautiful chaos of life with six children. I have to remind myself to extend grace to myself each and every day! It is my hope that my writings will help others to learn to extend grace to themselves too. After all, if it weren’t for the Grace of God, life would just be messy. I’m so glad that life can instead be a Beautiful Mess and is covered by His Beautiful Grace.

Project Paper: Day 1

The first paper pack that I choose to start with is one of my all time favorites, but I've never actually used it.  I guess I decided it was just too cute to cut.  That has all changed.  Animal Cookies is the perfect pack for zoo pictures, Valentine's Day photos, cute kid pictures, etc.  I choose to use the pack to scrapbook zoo pictures, mainly because I have at least 4 sets of zoo photos that need to be scrapbooked.
In this layout, I used Flip Flaps to add more photos to the layout than the Reflections pattern called for.  This layout actually includes 17 photos.  In order to make it Faster, Simpler and Easier (the CTMH motto), I decided not to use stamps as embellishments and opted to only add buttons.  I did stamp the title onto Indian Corn Blue cardstock and the back of one of the papers included in the paper pack.  I added a photo in the spot originally intended for journaling.  Using the Flip Flaps and this layout allowed me to scrapbook the entire day at the zoo in just one layout, leaving me more space in my album and using alot less paper.  I have plenty of paper left over so visit again tomorrow to see what I create with my left overs.
