Welcome

Thanks for visiting my blog. I began journaling about my daily life when I was eleven. Over the years, this has grown to become a way for me to share my thoughts rather than my daily life. I’m pretty open with sharing all the beautiful chaos of life with six children. I have to remind myself to extend grace to myself each and every day! It is my hope that my writings will help others to learn to extend grace to themselves too. After all, if it weren’t for the Grace of God, life would just be messy. I’m so glad that life can instead be a Beautiful Mess and is covered by His Beautiful Grace.

I had sooooo much fun creating these cards. I am not a card person, as many of you know, but I often find myself making cards because most of my customers prefer cardmaking over scrapbooking. I usually like my creations but I am rarely crazy about them, even when using a pattern. Well, the Sophia WOTG kit has definitely changed that for me. I LOVE the cards I created using the pattern provided. I even used a technique found on Jeanette Lynton's blog to dress up card a little bit more and I love the result. Although the workshop has passed, you can still order the WOTG kit and complete the projects at home on your own. There were no additional stamp sets or embellishments needed to complete this workshop. Check back tomorrow for the scrapbook layout.

This card uses the flocking technique that Jeanette Lynton featured on her blog. I absolutely love the result and will definitely be repeating this technique in the future.

A closer look at the flocked bird. I stamped the image in goldrush before covering it with the dyed flock.

This card was fun but tedious to punch the scalloped border. I love the fun and whimsical look of this card.

This is my favorite. It's the first card that I've ever felt was truly professional looking.
