Welcome

Thanks for visiting my blog. I began journaling about my daily life when I was eleven. Over the years, this has grown to become a way for me to share my thoughts rather than my daily life. I’m pretty open with sharing all the beautiful chaos of life with six children. I have to remind myself to extend grace to myself each and every day! It is my hope that my writings will help others to learn to extend grace to themselves too. After all, if it weren’t for the Grace of God, life would just be messy. I’m so glad that life can instead be a Beautiful Mess and is covered by His Beautiful Grace.

October Challenge

Whew, just a few more weeks of my English class and then on to Biology. Hopefully it won't be as busy as English was. Well, alot has happened in the past month that many of you may not be aware of. First, we moved at the beginning of the month and in trying to ready my building for moving, Gabe dropped it. He really should have waited until I got my things out before trying to block it up and maybe it wouldn't have been so heavy and out of balance. Needless to say, he felt really bad and the building that he was going to use as a "Man Cave" became more like a family den. He has a small office in here and the larger room has a sitting area with the big screen tv, a table for scrapbooking, a small kitchen area (minus a sink) and all my scrapbook stuff. The best part: we now have plenty of room for friends AND a bathroom so no more going into the house!!! My boys are really enjoying it and I am actually getting a good bit done when I am not studying.
Now for the challenge. I have listened to many of you over the past month and have heard one thing that you all seem to have in common, myself included. We all seem to have completed pages that we have not put into an album, completed pages that are waiting on photos or completed pages that we have no photos for. The challenge will help with all of that but we are going to do it in steps.
First: Find all of your pages that have no photos on them and put them aside.
Second: Go through your photos and decide which ones you would like to put on those layouts. Once you have decided, have them printed and add them to the layout. If you have layouts that you still aren't using then pass them on to a friend as a gift.
Third: Take all of your pages and put them into some order (by date, by child, etc) and then put them into page protectors.
Fourth: Find the albums that they should go into or purchase albums to put them into. Put them into their albums.
Fifth: Show them to your friends and family so that they can enjoy them.
See, that wasn't so hard was it? Now you have several albums completed so that your family can enjoy all of your hard work. I'd like to see your hard work too so why not post it on your blog and reply so that we all have a link to view your great artwork. I don't know about you but I love to see other people's work so that I can get many great ideas from it. I hope that you all have fun putting your albums together. I look forward to seeing you at the crop on Oct. 23rd. Audrey
