Welcome

Thanks for visiting my blog. I began journaling about my daily life when I was eleven. Over the years, this has grown to become a way for me to share my thoughts rather than my daily life. I’m pretty open with sharing all the beautiful chaos of life with six children. I have to remind myself to extend grace to myself each and every day! It is my hope that my writings will help others to learn to extend grace to themselves too. After all, if it weren’t for the Grace of God, life would just be messy. I’m so glad that life can instead be a Beautiful Mess and is covered by His Beautiful Grace.

I'm on top of the world!

I feel important!  I feel special!  I feel like I felt after so many successful endeavors before I became a Mom and my biggest success was changing a poopy toddler as he runs away laughing.  Why do I feel so giddy?  Because I submitted an article to www.mindfulhomeschooler.com and it was posted today!!!!!  Melissa ran a story on me the other day and after reading it, I got to thinking about so many conversations I have had lately and decided I needed to write.  I typically write my major ramblings in a notebook but I decided to type this one since I was already sitting at the computer.  Read it and let me know what you think.  I just might submit more of my ramblings later because it feels so good to see that someone else actually enjoyed reading something that I wrote.

  1. I struggled for a long to make myself into "a great writer." I thought I needed to write novels and clever poetry. It turns out that, yes, I am a writer, but I'm also an editor. Being able to polish up the work of others and make them feel like what they have to say is valuable - that's better than being just a great writer, in my opinion. I've had increased hits the last couple of days, no doubt thanks to your many links to the site and your stellar writing. Write on, sister!
