Welcome

Thanks for visiting my blog. I began journaling about my daily life when I was eleven. Over the years, this has grown to become a way for me to share my thoughts rather than my daily life. I’m pretty open with sharing all the beautiful chaos of life with six children. I have to remind myself to extend grace to myself each and every day! It is my hope that my writings will help others to learn to extend grace to themselves too. After all, if it weren’t for the Grace of God, life would just be messy. I’m so glad that life can instead be a Beautiful Mess and is covered by His Beautiful Grace.

Boy Birthday Cards

This set of 12 cards was made using the Wishes Celebration Card Workshop pattern.  It was so easy to make the cards in just a few hours and now I have birthday cards on hand for any parties that we attend this year.  I used the following cardstocks: Bamboo, Topiary and GoldrushDesert Sand ink, Everyday Celebration stamp set (from a promotional set), and patterned paper from a paper stack that I received as a gift several years ago.  To make the cards on the bottom right, I used a stylus and the dry embossing technique to place stripes every 1/2 inch.  I then sanded the top lightly with a sanding block to reveal the white core.
