Welcome

Thanks for visiting my blog. I began journaling about my daily life when I was eleven. Over the years, this has grown to become a way for me to share my thoughts rather than my daily life. I’m pretty open with sharing all the beautiful chaos of life with six children. I have to remind myself to extend grace to myself each and every day! It is my hope that my writings will help others to learn to extend grace to themselves too. After all, if it weren’t for the Grace of God, life would just be messy. I’m so glad that life can instead be a Beautiful Mess and is covered by His Beautiful Grace.

It's Friday! That means pizza day with Elijah. He and I have kinda made a little Friday tradition of going to Pizza Hut for lunch after I pick him up from school. Last week we didn't get to go because I wasn't feeling good and Gabe picked him up. The week before, Marianne went with us. She had a coupon from school for reading so her buffet was free. Elijah's is always free (they should charge me though bc he can only eat the toppings and boy does he eat) and I happened to have a full punch card that day. Elijah was the only one of us that got a soda so our total was 97 cents. It was the cheapest lunch that I have ever eaten, much less fed two kids on too.

Well, as most of you know, I am not supposed to be doing much at this point but taking it easy. This is so BORING!!! I get up for short bouts of time to do a load of laundry or some other household task and then it's back to resting. Well, today I am going to get Elijah, we're going to lunch and then going to buy groceries. Gabe doesn't think that this is a good idea but we have nothing to eat in our cabinets!!!! He bought the groceries last week and all he buys is snack foods and meat. The freezer is full but we have nothing to go with the meats. I appreciate him buying the groceries but come on. What about lunch foods, vegatables and fruit? Oh, I'm sorry. He did buy bananas and two bell peppers.

Oh well, I am looking forward to getting out of the house today and going grocery shopping. I can't wait for Thanksgiving and I have printed out several recipes for things that Elijah can eat so we are off to buy rice flour, zanthum gum and that kind of stuff. Yum, yum! Actually, the things that I have made for him in the past (like cake and muffins) taste really good and you would never know that they are wheat free. Well, I gotta get. It's almost time for Elijah to be getting up for school. Have a great weekend!!!!!! Audrey

  1. Boy do I miss actually having the energy to get up at 4:30 to get online. It's amazing how much things change when you have a baby. Well, Levi is almost 6 months old now and growing every day. We have a pretty good schedule but I'm so exhausted most days that there's no way I can get up that early anymore. I do stay up later though but so much more gets done early in the morning when your all rested up.
